Various
applications require capture of form data to reduce
data-entry and facilitate unmanned data-entry stations.
The data in the form can be captured through an
OCR/ICR engine in case of printed matter. In case
the forms contain handwritten content, it is sometimes
advisable to capture them manually. In environments
where data accuracy expectation is high, ICR solutions
simply do not work.
DataCapture is designed to provide one integrated
solution to tackle both sets of data:

Hence, even if the form contains a large number
of data zones, and even if some of them have small
fonts, the data-entry process does not require the
user to seek for the information in the image. The
system will automatically seek and display the data
zone in a zoomed manner at a fixed location in the
screen. This improved data-entry efficiency tremendously,
and the efficiency factor is more significant for
more proficient typists.
The data zone definition module allows the system
administrator to create the zone template file,
which links a zone of a document to a field of a
product template. Multiple page documents are allowed.
This also removed the need for the data-entry person
to flip pages back and forth.
